it is a great news for Treo and smartphone users...

mundu offers instant messengers to Treo(Palm OS only) or smartphone with Window Mobile 5.0(cingular blackjack or Verzion Moto Q or any) for only 11 bucks for your phone lifetime. i think it is a killer deal.

mundu Mobile Instant Messenger for Palm, Windows Smartphone, Symbian and J2ME

good news for PDA users - it is currently developing IM program for Symbian and Window Mobiles Pocket PC devices.

Yeah I saw that several weeks ago and signed up for annoucement when they release thier PPC version.

It does look good but I am trying to find someone or one of the IM companies to code a plugin to link Contacts in WM to a Relay service AIM Messenger that I can tap contact name and it will send a text Call "contact phone number" to the IM user that you set in the software option ie My IP Relay or SprintIP etc.

Right now I been going back and forth between Agile and IM+.

Agile have better interface and is touchy with AIM connections however IM+ have a stronger connections with AIM with not too good interface.

But I like Agile best becasue it will wake up LCD on phone when someone message on Agile.

yea i agree with you about agile messenger that is better IM program on PDAs. i hope Agile will reduce its price down to 20 bucks or less for that expensive program.

right now i am testing im program on my pda that my deaf friend currently develops. it is not bad. it has more features than agile messenger because the IM developer is deaf and knows what deaf mobile users need. :afro:

One good thing Agile did was to change from yearly to perment licence so now you can buy Agile one time price and not pay yearly anymore.

Yeah I recalled you telling me about your friend programming an IM and tell him about my idea and see if he can get WM SDK to add such feature to his IM.

wow, it's good deal, better than VeriChat which is rip-off. Chat is much faster, real-time receive/sent.

And TechBill, it does come with wake-up display in option. I disable it and use only vibrator.

That cool then I can't wait for them to release a PPC version so I can try it out and compare it to Agile.

I have mundu messenger on my Cingular 8525 also. I think it's nice but too bad it doesn't have vibrate support or IM warning icon on the idle screen to let me know that someone's sending me an IM. I have to go in that program to check it manually, that sucks. It doesn't even support smiley icons, either.

I haven't downloaded agile yet because it says requires a computer to download then send it over to the 8525, weird. They don't have a direct link to it, I think that's silly.

i know this isn't in the right thread but would someone post the IM+ and the agile on the board with the www so i can check it out? thanks :)

mundu messenger for smartphone(wm5.0) doesnt work on 8525 or any PDAs(pocket PC)

PDA and Smarthphone have same wm5.0, but different formats inside OS. it is the reason why 8525 doesnt vibrate when IM comes in. Mundu says it is currently developing a program for PDAs includes 8525.

Agile messenger - yes you need to sync that prgram to 8525 from your PC. it works better. but it may sucks if you have mac.

I have a mac so that part sucks. they got a 3rd party sync for mac but the developer wants 40 dollars for it so ill pass on that one.

i understand that but remember... all AIM MSN IM and Yahoo IM are free but they come with commerical ADs(advertisings) and their own ADs. The companies pay for ADs on IMs so that is how we get free IM programs on computer but there is no ADs on mobile IMs. that is the reason we pay for softwares on mobiles.

does that make senses ? :)
