I hope this thread is right because it belong kind of Internet situation:

My hubby and I will go to Court on Thursday at 10.30 am. Wish us good luck.

We were being sued by our former Internet company for “delay payment”/”arrears”. This is their word, not ours.

Happened was in October 2003.

The reason, we refused to pay the Internet bills because we felt that payment is too high and illogical. First bill of 3 bills was €500. -- ($616.80).

We asked Internet Company F*****.net friendly to send us the proof of Internet connection list but they ignored our wish and claim that it’s correct and demand our payment. I explained that we only pay when we has proof. F****.net also ignored our notice letter to close the account, too.

We found a new and better Internet Company. They fixed to remove F*****.net to make a their own Internet connection for DSL with unlimited on our computer in January 2004. That’s how I first registered any forums in January 2004.

(Yes, I paid phone/fax bills except Internet bill). Internet bills from any Internet companies go direct Telecom to make a phone/fax bill separate with Internet bill.

We kept on repeat F****. Net’s reminders for the proof. They ignored us and kept on send us warning/threaten letters with interest payable on arrears. They got the court for send us collection proceedings for the collection of outstanding debts with high interest payable. We forwarded Court's letter to our lawyer because we know we doing right for not pay without get the proof. Our lawyer gave us right and wrote against letter to court and explain the reason. The court told F****.net to engage their lawyers themselves because the court can’t do anything against me for them. They engaged their lawyer for Internet specialist and sue us.

There is nearly 2 years battle. They gave up and send the proof last April 2005 at last. I got it at last after almost 2 years waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I check the list and was like :jaw: because there’re very many DOUBLE prices and also porn online/phone, too.

It's impossible that we play around with porn. online in the internet/phone dialing because we already told F****.net to lock 0190 (porn/sex online) and also telecom, too and also illogical that I reopen the Internet 1 sec. later after close the Internet. Yes, I got porn. emails from my friends but we refused to click to log in because I know it's expensive to log in. We already told telecom to lock 0190 on phone/fax/internet.

Anyway, I know why there’re high amounts. I’m glad that I suspected something not okay with Internet bill in first place instead of pay it.

I’m surprised that the lawyers of F****.net want go through court and fight with us because they KNEW an exactly why we ignored their payment bills. We are agreeing to go through to court to battle with them. The court made an appointment and ordered certificated Interpreter for us on Thursday at 10.30 am.

Please open and honest with me what you do think of this. Is it risk for you or not when you are in my shoe? I know it’s risk but I have to face it because I know what I doing right to get proof first then……….

If my hubby and I were in that same situation, we would also fight the case. :thumb:
 
Oh Dear Leibling..

That was really horrible ripping off with the internet company. Do not give up to fight with the court. Tell the court that you did not use any scam email to using porno internet.

Unbelievable, they are very creepy out there. Isn't it scary ?

Switerzland used my credit card on the line last fall which was 180 and 230 dollars to order the make up. I did not order those products. I had to stop payment with my credit card at the bank. I got a new credit card account number to prevent hackers go through my computer.

We need to be careful what we did order any product over the line.

Pray for you and your husband will win the case at the court against the scum internet cost you so much money.

That's why I am careful to trust online orders. I do not have online shopping or bank. I'm tooo parnoid since this happened.

I only order some foods from British online and napkins online... That's all.
 
I do feel for you and this terrible predictament. Is there a possibility that someone could have hacked into your computer(s) and/or got a hold of your credit card number(s)? There is always a possibility of a hacker getting a hold of those and making purchases on credit cards and hacking into logging into other people's Internet lines to purchase porn. I'd really check into this if I were you, Liebling because this is quite worth the investigation. You can have the F***** internet company and your current internet company investigate this together with the help of your lawyer. You really do need to rule out any necessary possibilities before you go to court. Settling this case before getting any answers is very imperative. Think positive and chin up!! :)
 
I advise you don't use credit card and to buy on line.. NEVER!!!! peroid trust me..

I discovered that no matter what kind the software related the pop up jump into the cookies *waited for using credit card link you* when you using credit card on line... Malware will shown up and steal yours automatic and brings spread it out rest other countries. Isn't worth.

I found in my cookies, Wha... hell malware in my system... I murdered it.. *ahh I've felt better that I DID MURDER MALWARE am I murder? *ahem* reason i have to rights protection my system puter! I'm glad I never use credit card using puter on line.. Just mostly order using by money order only as my trust.. *eheheh*

Hello there,

If you see website that they do not have SSL enable, then it's risky to order online.. Unless if you see have a SSL enable depending your browser should show padlock icon it's safe to order online.. I refuse to order which is no SSL enables on these websites then call that 800 only to order something, do not trust the long distance phone nbrs, wastes on your TTY LD bills, they can steal on your CC in order something in LD calls.. your orders didn't ships or lost.. that mean you lost money and stolens, they can use CC for anything to buy without any notice on your CC bills..

Very important to look around on website that they have a "HackerSafe" show TESTED templetes to check the website is legits. if the "HackerSafe" show red word, don't order it!

Hell NO, I NEVER give my credit card numbers to internet!!!!!!!!!!! I always told them that I transfer money from my bank account when I want to order something from online shopping. I would not order if they doesn't accept it but credit number.

F*****.net internet was kicked out of my computer with the help from the computer tech. from Telecom where I join new Internet company.

Yes, I already got the list of connection proof for internet last April 2005 like what I mentioned in my first post. We prepared everything for court tomorrow...

My lawyer suspected that it's something do with hackers but we has to wait to see what the F****.net's lawyer says.

But... But... one problem is:
My lawyer already told us that we have a little problem because we should get the computer tech. from F*****.net to open the internet on my computer instead of ask my friend to do for me or do myself in first place. My lawyer estimated that it should be around between 30% to 50% of amount (without interest payable etc) we should pay because of this. :(
There'll be less than 10% to 20% of total amount (without interest payable) of amount if we let computer tech. from F****.net to open internet on my computer in first place.

Wait and see what happened tomorrow. :(


I learn the lesson for not fix my computer myself when I open an internet from new company but let computer tech. do that is the best.

Yeah, we have SSL in our computer. I learn it from computer tech. from new internet company where he kicked F*****.net out.

We learn alot since we bought our first computer to use at home in 2003.

advice: be sure you screen all interenet services to be sure they are reliable company.

BullyMom, yes it true that you should never use credit card to buy online BUT come to think of this, Most dialing up services required credit card such as AOL. IF I were you, I would use PRE PAID credit card it more safe than regular credit card because if anyone try use prepaid credit card and they cant spend any of money since it only limit to what YOU put in the card and cant extend any over limit like regular card would do.

These stored value cards are getting very popular. You can buy yourself one from a 7-11 store and even can get one by dumping a big bucket of pennies or so into a coinstar machine at the supermarkets as some of them can up a prepaid card with the net value of the coins dumped.

You can have better control of your expenses using the stored value cards than credit cards. I strongly encourage the society to dump credit cards and use alternative means because I've seen thousands of lives ruined by card companies playing god on innocent people.

YUP, that the exactly point! That why I have start use it and it surely HELP me alot especially paying hosting bill and other bills online without hassle of sending it through snail mail.
 
I had 2 times before. I got trouble about 500 phone bill because I connect of porn video. And one time of out of world connect gonna cost about 100. So, I stop all of their thing. Because it my fault and I was wrong. So, everything went fine now. I will never happen again and anymore!

Remember, be careful and watch your connect computer and warning to ask you. I understand that you was stop order F****.net like that! That good, but you had to agree to pay it, but if other refuse to list what you want to stop order. I felt bad for connect problem. I hope you a good luck in courthouse tomorrow. I pray for you!

2) Call the official F****.net that you tell him to stop thing to your address or else something, e mail address. The official will close your name, address, and fax number and else. If the official didn't listen to you. Then go to lawyer. That all you have to do.
 
scott, actually liebling DID told company to cancel the account which that company NEVER did plus THEY didnt give her proofs or evidences that liebling asked for the problem yet the company DIDNT give any to her at all. SO she has reason to bring them to court and IT not that she agree to pay, The company basically breach the contract with her....

logically yes, it would be my responsible if I connect porn onlines but we didn't. Why should we? We already inform telecom to lock 0190 in my phone connection line long time ago. We informed F****.net straight way to lock 0190 after bought a new computer in 2003, too and also write a letter to them, too. It's important to write a letter because the date of post.

I would not pay unless I get the proof of connection list first. I got it last April 2005 after 2 years waiting.
They are supposing to respect my WISH to demand the proof but they didn't. I'm surprised that they didn't lock porn onlines in my computer after saw proof for a first time last April 2005.

Yes, that's right. I did but F**** ignored my demand to close the account. I ordered computer tech. from telecom to kick F**** out of my computer to fix new internet from other company.
