That was because Christ's followers eventually dis-covered that sketches and pictures permitted human mind to focus their thoughts more pre-cisely and accurately. But then again, when I come to think of pictures of men and animals, as they are reproduced in books and magazines today, such representations are nothing but a conglomeration of dots and lines, which when put together in a certain fashion, make the final product look like a picture. The whole thing is representation!

How can You teach the people to know God if He, himself, does not know God. If one of you who try teaching the Christians that God is also a human being, they will say that you are crazy, that you do not believe in God and that you are a cult. In the meantime, while they admit that He is a Mystery God, they teach not to make any likeness of Him; yet they adorn their dolls, walls and churches with pictures, images and statues like human beings. This transformation enables Jesus to be close to those who pray before him. Jesus becomes one of them. No doubt, the natural enemy worshippers feel comfortable with their own race of Jesus.

Now let looking to Africa. There too many pray to Jesus. What does Jesus look like in Africa?

Christian fans actually worshipping the IDOL of statue Jesus like human beings.

People shouldn't worship pictures, statues or images on toast of anyone, much less Jesus.
 
Yeah.. in the bible we shouldn't worship idolstry... but is Jesus an idolstry?

True, although, as for Jesus, He's spiritual....worshipping images in various of man-made forms and shapes in His likeness is considered idolatry, therefore, we do not worship any image. Hope that helps clears it for you. ;)

And Catholics worship Virgin Mary. They share same bible with Christianity. Go figures.

I am sure that you watched Movie or TV movie story about jesus like "the PASSION", didn't you watch?

in the fact one: statue of Jesus is indeed an idolstry people worship and they already knew what he look like through tv , movie, wall, etc people made..

Anyway You live in YooTah, there is nothing wrong for most mormon worship Joseph smith. They already knew what he look like. I really respect and adore them..

Yeah, you are right because God has picked THEIR DELUSIONS. THEIR HEARTS ARE NOT RIGHT. for whatever reason buried in their secret heart, THEY CANNOT ACCEPT TRUTH.

but why you still watch movie, tv movie, cartoon story about jesus.. You felt comforably what the idol repersent he look like human being than spirit than go to figure out with what the certain he look like in heaven..

There are millions of practicing Buddhists in many countries where people of Asia descent reside, such as in China, Japan, Korea, South Korea has been largely. Look at Tibet for instance. Tibetan Buddhism is a special kind of Buddhism and there are many statues of Buddha in Tibet as well as in China, Japan and many other Asian countries. Do the idols of Buddha that the Asians worship, look like the idols of wor-shipped in India? Not at all. The Buddhas of the East look more Chinese than Indian. The Buddhas there are short, fat and happy faced. They have slit eyes like the Chinese and the transformation goes to prove the inherent tendency in humans to worship a God who they can, however remotely, identify with. Man and God are the same!


You must remember that Jesus could not have been referring to Himself as returning to the people in the last days. Jesus prophesied the coming of son of Man who will be much greater than himself. like the scripture from four gospels of most FAMOUS quote: Jesus said " But as the days of NOE [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be".

You are right... there is nothing wrong for catholics worship idols of Virgin Mary. its their tradtional.. I can't change them.. simple, no need to involve them what they worship. just respect and interesting indeed what they worshipping!

Huh? What movie, TV movie, or cartoon have I watched about Jesus? I very rarely go to any movies (IMAX only), I don't even know any cartoons about Jesus, and I can't recall any recent TV movies about Jesus.


You must remember that Jesus could not have been referring to Himself as returning to the people in the last days.

Jesus was talking about Himself, in the future tense. Many times Jesus refers to Himself as "the Son of man".

Matthew 24:37
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Luke 17:26
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
 
Yes there is one movie about Jesus' final hours - "The Passion" directed by Mel Gibson. This movie is full with gore and bloody. Not good for weak stomach people.

I know about it but I've never watched it.
 
I love the movie " PASSION". Its very moving. But worship that? No. Its telling us what happen and the meaning of crucifixion and get the idea how horrible His death was. I agree, we should not worship or bow before anything that been man made images, even crucifixion on the wall. The picture of Jesus isn't actually look like Him. And true, that also should not worship the picture of Jesus. Now about cartton, they have children cartoon of Jesus and Bible stories. But that not mean you worship that, but learning the stories about Jesus and even memory verse and etc, God didn't forbid kids to enjoy. Its depend how you look at. I know what you mean and that's good for you to share how you see it about it and I agree, we should not worship or bow before anything man made stuff.

We only worship to God, nothing anything else with Mary Virgin or other idol worship! It is sad to hear that way because that is not following in the Bible. The devil is laughing at them like that.

They worship the Bible, the Cross, the statue of Virgin Mary, the statue of Jesus, etc. ;)

Who is "they" are you referring to? I don't worship Bible, cross, or any statues. If think christians worship the Bible, does hebrews/jews worship the scroll? Have Jesus read the scroll? Think about it for a moment.

Ok.. thank you for the clarificiation. To be clarify, in Latter Day Saints religion (Mormon) do not worship Joseph Smith. LDS member worship Jesus Christ. The true name of the mormon church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So therefore, you can see they worship Jesus Christ, not Joseph Smith, people get misunderstood about the church. Thank you very much.

I am aware of those rules, you ve got a pretty wrong idea about me. THose sns aren't mine. Nice try, boy....and I dont play tricks on people. THis is my only ONE SN. Thank you.
